On July 26th, three individuals were seen attempting to enter the front gate of the Clark County Correctional Facility in protest against the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. The three citizens appeared to be wearing full-body pitch-black suits, and one carried a sign that initially read “AlbertWellesley sucks”, referring to Chief Judge AlbertWellesley of the Mayflower Judiciary Branch. The sign was later rewritten to say “defund CCSO”.

When questioned, the individuals said that they are protesting against the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, accusing their employees of falsely arresting one of their friends and claiming that it was because the officers are against supporters of Israel, including themselves, however also claiming that they had been driving a stolen car prior to the arrest. They went on to accuse the department’s correctional facility staff of mistreating the inmates and pointed out an officer from the Sherrif’s Office holding an inmate within the top of one of the watchtowers.

After giving notice to the unusual activity within the watchtower, the group proceeded to climb over the front gate, trespassing into the prison grounds and into the watchtower, where they confronted the officer holding the inmate and began to shout at them. During the confrontation, one of the individuals captured a closer picture of the situation.

As the group aggressively protested against the prison’s staff, more officers arrived at the scene. The protesters attempted to flee, and only one was seen leaving the prison gates, who claimed that the officer was improperly handling the inmate and was attempting to throw them off of the balcony.

No further protests against the Clark County Sheriff’s Office have been reported as of yet, and the intentions behind the officer’s activities with the inmate are unknown. The Sherrif’s Office has not addressed the protest or any of the accusations made against them. More updates will be provided if any public statements are made on the matter.
