Yesterday, in the suburban areas of Lander, a stand-off between the Mayflower National Guard and the Mayflower State Militia took place. The militiamen stood on the walls of their base, while the guardsmen had constructed a temporary fortification, where they also stood on the walls. Both sides seemed to simply observe each other, however flashbangs were being thrown into the space between the two bases, likely by third actors.

The stand-off followed a revokation of the Mayflower State Militia’s “recognised militia status” by the State Adjutant General. As the reason for revokation, the Adjutant General cited “inability […] to comply with regulations […] issued by the State Adjutant General”. The militiamen gathered in their base to protest this revokation. The National Guard has likely expected the situation to escalate. Fortunately, after a few long, and uneasy moments, both sides have wrapped up.
Our reporters were on site. It is important to note that they were denied entry to the temporary fortification set up by the MNG, so unfortunately we could not interview any present guardsmen. Our reporters were however granted entry into the MSM base. The humours around the militia’s base seemed rather pessimistic, with many expressing greviances towards the Mayflower National Guard.
Governor orangebear22 was also present at the scene along with the National Guard. After the stand-off, when he was asked for his opinion, he said these inspiring words:
“Hi”

He did not elaborate further. Below you can see the full MNG’s declaration regarding the status of the MSM.
